Titanium industry developed rapidly in Luoyang city

　　Titanium industry has been considered as an important part of non-ferrous metal industry in Luoyang city.

　　In April 2005, CSIC 725th research institute and Xin＇an Power Group jointly established Luoyang Shuangrui Wanji Titanium Co., Ltd. After construction, company has capacity of annual 10,000 tons titanium sponge production, the most in China.

　　Last year, by the end of October, Luoyang Wuao Titanium Company had invested 350 million yuan, starting a project of 2,000 tons titanium processing material in Wanshan lake industrial park Xin’an Country. According to the initiative plan, company will build casting, forging, pipe, workshop and ancillary facilities. Until the second half of 2010. it is expected to put into production.

　　According to reports, after the completion of Wuao’s project, each year they will purchase 3000-4000 tons of titanium sponge and can produce 500 tons of titanium ingots and 1,000 tons titanium tubes. Optimistically estimated, annual production value will reach about 220 million yuan.
